National Reader???s Conference 2022


Government College Women University Faisalabad signed an MOU with Read Pakistan a year ago to promote reading culture in students. The Department of English GCWUF feels immense pride to announce that our three brilliant students, out of 68 universities and 8 active chapters of Read Pakistan, were nominated in different categories at National Reader???s Conference 2022 held at Pakistan National Council of Arts, Islamabad. Laiba Latif was nominated as Best Social Media Coordinator of the year 2022. Rabia Khan was nominated as Best Book Club coordinator of the year 2022. Javeria Maqbool was nominated as Best Literary Raptor of the year 2022. GCWUF won two awards, award for Best LR and Best Book Club coordinator . Our students got to learn a lot regarding E commerce and revolutionary trends in social media and society. Moreover, students were provided with participation certificates and lunch. Our students donated books for children. The students under supervision of HOD English Department Miss Saira Akhter attended the conference. Ms. Sadia Waheed and Miss Hina also accompanied the students. Teachers and students were equally enthralled to meet people like Tauseeq Haider,TV host at PTV, Anwar Masood, Pakistani Poet, Hamid Mehmood, CEO e-commerce pro, Usman Raza Jolaha, social activist and president of Volunteer Force Pakistan. The literary journey ended with a group picture with Mr. Farrukh Dall, Chairperson Read Pakistan, Mr. Muhammad Hamdan Zulfiqar, Member Board of Trustees at Read Pakistan.
